NHS User Conference 2018, Glasgow
Our NHS User Conference 2018, which took place on 15 November in Glasgow, brought together the Voice Technologies team and over 60 delegates from across the UK.
The conference is a forum for two-way communication: we showcased product developments in WinVoicePro & WinVoiceWeb, FormStream and Speech Recognition, and delegates told us about challenges in their working lives that our expertise can help them address.
'Making life better' was the theme for the Conference because it’s what we aim to do for all of our customers – by listening to the issues they face and using the insights we’ve gained over almost two decades of working with the NHS to develop software solutions that… well… make life better! And we don’t just mean by lowering costs. Making life better can be the result of improving a workflow to remove duplication, linking systems to speed up communication or proactively managing systems.
Many of the delegates took the opportunity to comment on our products and service, including Christine Chlad, from NHS Western Isles, who said, “Voice Technologies’ customer service is excellent.”
Jim Docherty from NHS Highland, our guest speaker who who talked about the implementation of FormStream and gave delegates from other Boards and Trusts valuable insights into how it could benefit them, commented, “We get fantastic support from Voice Technologies. We explain to them what we need to achieve, and they come up with the solution. It’s a partnership where flexibility is key.” Robert Bryden, of NHS Ayrshire & Arran, added, “Voice Technologies is responsive in responding to our needs. They develop what’s in your head. They take time to listen.”
The day comprised a welcome session by James McPherson, CEO and John McDougall, Chair, presentation and Q&A sessions, and, of course, it wouldn’t be complete without our Raffle, Prize Draw and User Awards.
