Voice Technologies expands its Support Services team with two new appointments
Chris Gallagher and David Wallace have recently joined Voice Technologies’ Support Services team, both in the role of Service Desk Engineer.
More customers than ever are opting for the benefits of our support services which offer immediate access to experts who diagnose and resolve issues fast. Chris and David have joined the support team where they are involved in logging support desk calls, investigating and resolving issues in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), carrying out onsite support and installations, and health-checking customer servers to ensure our applications run smoothly. They are learning not only about their own roles and responsibilities but also about the customer focus at the heart of the company’s ethos.
Both appointments demonstrate the importance Voice Technologies’ places on providing excellent service levels to its customers. James McPherson, CEO, explains: “We believe that maintaining our high standard of service is driven by constantly investing in our people. Our involvement in the QA Apprenticeship Scheme and our Investors in Young People (IIYP) award are just two ways we make that investment by nurturing our next generation of software and IT professionals.”
David commented, “After studying Computing at the University of Dundee I’m delighted to be starting my career in IT at Voice Technologies. The warm and welcoming environment here has helped me get to grips with the company’s systems and software. I’m looking forward to using the skills I’ve learned at University and developing new ones that contribute to the company’s success.”
Chris sees his new job as offering opportunities now and in the future: “I was introduced to Voice Technologies when I was invited for interview through the QA Modern Apprenticeship Scheme. I met with a few companies but Voice Technologies offered a stand-out opportunity for me right from the beginning. There are many areas I can gain experience in here and that’ll be valuable throughout my career. There are also various routes for career progression within the business. Add to that the welcoming atmosphere and it made accepting the offer from Voice Technologies a simple decision!”
Voice Technologies employs over 30 people based in Paisley and Sheffield in the UK. We provide information and mobile workflow, speech recognition and digital dictation applications that help organisations to reduce the time and cost of producing correspondence.
