NHS in England gets access to Voice Technologies and WinScribe

More than 200 NHS organisations in England now have the chance to more easily access solutions from Voice Technologies to help meet timeline targets, thanks to a new framework contract.

The Yorkshire and Humber Commercial Procurement Collaborative (YHCPC) agreement will mean organisations such as Hospital Trusts, Mental Health Partnerships and Primary Care Trusts can quickly access digital dictation, speech recognition and outsource transcription from the company, among other suppliers on the framework.

Voice Technologies, the exclusive supplier for in the NHS framework for Scotland, provides industry leading dictation management software from WinScribe to accelerate processes, while improving accuracy and security in the NHS.

And a recent agreement with the world-class software company will see Voice Technologies’ own application, WinVoicePro, integrated into WinScribe’s products. This pioneering piece of software, developed in partnership with, and enjoyed by customers in the NHS, helps speed up the creation of correspondence from dictation, while integrating easily into healthcare systems.

Heather Wylie, Managing Director of Voice Technologies said: “This framework covers about 40 per cent of the trusts in England. That’s a significant number of organisations that can now more easily discover the benefits of WinScribe and WinVoicePro from Voice Technologies to help meet targets such as the 18-Week Referral to Treatment pathway.”

“As the exclusive supplier on not only the Scotland framework, but also the framework for Yorkshire and Humber, we have been recognised as the leader in the field,” Heather said. “It is also a recognition that we have the experience to help trusts across England unlock greater productivity and accuracy through industry leading software and hardware.”

Heather continued: “This framework is a great initiative from YHCPC, meaning that a huge number of organisations can access our solutions without undertaking a time-consuming procurement process.”

Voice Technologies will be on the NHS Yorkshire and Humber Collaborative Procurement Hub framework, as one of six suppliers, for a period of four years.
