The Lennox Practice, based in the Vale Centre for Health & Care in Alexandria, is a General Practioners offering the full range of GP care and treatment to local communities as well as operating as a training facility for doctors and locums. Previously housed in Bank Street, the surgery has a fixed medical team of doctors, partners, nurses and administrators as well as accommodating training staff which are placed within the Practice on interim basis.

Voice Technologies supplies several different departments within the council with Digital Dictation and each department has slightly different requirements.

The origin of the practice stems from a merge in 1985 between Castle Douglas-based Lidderdale & Gillespie and Patrick Gifford & Co and then a later unite with Adam & AC Brown, Lennons and McGowans during the eighties and nineties.

The transcription and generation of letters at UHCW was slow and inefficient. It was estimated that each secretary spent five hours a day managing the existing letter production process. The Trust needed a system that could streamline letter generation and optimise the available resources. UHCW was already efficient in capturing information from clinicians and the Trust was eager to utilise their highly adopted Clinical Results Reporting System (CRRS) even further.
