Voice Technologies has been confirmed as an accredited supplier with the North East Procurement Organisation (NEPRO) which procures professional services on behalf of the UK public sector.

Available to all public sector organisations across the UK, NEPRO focuses on driving value for money and output driven engagements giving the public sector greater control of the public purse. It currently works with 50+ clients across the UK, has managed over 700 professional services procurements in the last three years and has a supply chain of over 1,000 suppliers.

James McPherson, CEO of Voice Technologies, said, “This accreditation is an important step in our growth plans as it enables us to access opportunities in the public sector via a national framework. As an employee-owned organisation, Voice Technologies places a great deal of emphasis on staff learning and development. This often leads to internal promotions which contribute to high levels of job satisfaction and staff retention. Clients benefit too as in-depth knowledge about their organisation, challenges and requirements is retained in the company over the long term.

A good example is the recent promotion of Callum McGowan to our Service Desk Manager role. Callum says, “I am pleased to take another step in my development with my promotion to the manager role, and look forward to not only progressing my own career but working with the team as a whole to develop and improve.”

Callum’s position was vacated by Jason Semple, a graduate of Glasgow Caledonian University who joined Voice Technologies in 2012. Having been part of the busy Service Desk team and being promoted to Service Desk Manager in 2015, he has now progressed to a project management role which will involve delivering large scale projects through to completion.

Jason says, “I am very grateful for the career opportunities at Voice Technologies and have had the pleasure of meeting some great people, both colleagues and customers.”

Voice Technologies has a strategic plan for growth which has led to an exciting opportunity to join our business development team:

Business Development Executive

Location: Paisley, Scotland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing existing and new relationships with clients across Scotland. Using your networking abilities, you will manage the entire sales process from identifying customer needs and preparing proposals through to collaborating on the development of solutions and presenting them to clients.

Sales cycles can vary from one week to six months depending on the size of project/customer requirements and order values vary considerably.

You will report directly to our CEO and Senior Account Manager.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Understanding of sales process and pipelines
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Minimum of two years in a customer relationship role
  • Strong IT knowledge including previous experience of demonstrating software applications and/or technical solutions
  • Proven ability to be proactive in supporting customers
  • Motivation for excellence
  • Willingness to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Ability to manage diaries
  • A full valid UK driving license.

The following would also be beneficial:

  • Experience working with healthcare, legal, local government or professional services organisations
  • Hands-on experience of digital dictation or speech recognition technology
  • Use of CRM systems.
